INDOOR POLLUTANTS TOPIC OF MARCH 3 GREEN BUILDING WORKSHOP
Indoor air pollutants can be six times higher than outdoor air. Residents can learn ways to minimize pollutants - including proper material selection, ventilation and filtration at a free Green Building workshop.
The program will be from 7 to 9 p.m. March 3, at the city's Community Design Studio, 7506 E. Indian School Road. Workshops, held the first Thursday of each month, address the varied green building subjects that demonstrate energy and resource efficient, healthy, and environmentally responsible building practices.

The Scottsdale Center for the Arts presents Alonzo King's LINES Ballet at 8 p.m. March 4. Tickets are $36 and can be purchased by calling the box office at (480) 994-2787 or by going online to www.scottsdaleperformingarts.org
The performance will take place in the Virginia G. Piper Theater in the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, located at 7380 East Second St.

SPRING TRAINING DEBUT AT SCOTTSDALE STADIUM MARCH 5 IS FAMILY DAY
Opening Day at Scottsdale Stadium March 5 will be Family Day. The San Francisco Giants open their gates at 11 a.m. for a 1:05 game against the San Diego Padres. Children are invited to stay after the game to run the bases. Weekend ticket prices range from $11 to $24. Tickets can be purchased at the Stadium Box Office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday or by calling tickets.com at 1-800-225-2277.
Free shuttles to the game will run every 10 minutes -- 90 minutes before and 30 minutes after each home game. Catch the shuttles at Loloma Station, Goldwater Boulevard and 2nd Street; and at the Galleria, Drinkwater Boulevard and Stetson Drive.

Little kids will have big fun at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park's Exclusively Little - a special event geared for those age 6 and younger. Activities include game booths, face painting, entertainment, health and safety information and tips, a petting zoo and a stuffed animal contest Exclusively Little runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 5 at the park, 7301 E. Residents are invited to join Barnes & Nobles' Phyllis Payne for tips and techniques on leading book discussions from 10:30 a.m. to - 12:30 p.m. March 5 in the Book Discussion Room at Mustang Library.
Participants will learn how to lead a discussion and get useful hints to make book discussions lively and worthwhile. Library staff will show how to find book reviews. For more info call (480) 312-6050.

MARCH 6 OPEN HOUSE SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT ON LIBRARY PUBLIC ART
The Scottsdale Public Art program is seeking community feedback on the preliminary design for public artwork for the new stand-alone Arabian library from 1 to 5 p.m. March 6 at Arabian Library, located on the campus of Desert Canyon Middle School, 10187 E. McDowell Mountain Ranch Road.
The art will be incorporated into the courtyard of the new library being built in McDowell Mountain Ranch Park at the intersection of Thompson Peak Parkway and McDowell Mountain Ranch Road.

The gorgeous grounds of the Scottsdale Center for the Arts will display the works of more than 185 nationally-acclaimed exhibiting artists at the 35th annual Scottsdale Arts Festival -- Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13.

The Scottsdale Center for the Arts presents "Nobody Don't Like Yogi" starring Ben Gazzara in Theater 4301 March 15 through March 27.
