1988 Cutlass Supreme Classic

Hi everyone. This is my Cutlass re-newed. I ended up sinking a lot of money into this car restoring it, because I love it. I know I'll never get the money back, but I enjoy driving it every day. Here are some new pictures. The rims are now 15" and the tires are BF Goodrich. I got rid of the pinstripe too. The car has a new Walker 442 factory replacement exhaust. It has new door and window weather stripping. All of the chrome on the bottom of the car was bought new from GM. The chrome stripping in the bumpers was replaced. The tailights, logos, and emblems were all replaced by new GM parts. The vinyl top was re-done. The car was stripped down to bare metal and repainted. The rot was cut out of the doors and quarter panels and new metal was welded in. The transmission was rebuilt. The car has been restored to the best of my ability to original. It is by no means in show condition. I drive it daily, so the engine compartment is dirty like the average car and the under carriage is showimg normal wear for a car it's age. The floor plan were replaced in 99, so there are no holes, but it's dirty and shows some rust. I recently took the car to New England Dragway where the car ran the 1/4 mile in a best time of 17.334. Not too impressive, but it does look nice! Anyway I hope to enjoy the car for a long time. Remember Don't crush'em, restore'em. Update: 03/30/09 After 4 years of sitting in the garage, I sold the Cutlass today. The new owner seems like someone who's going to take care of it. I hope he enjoys it as much as I used to!
