This is my largest cake to date.  It fed 250 people at a close friend's wedding.  The cake was 4 tiers of traditional white cake with buttercream icing.  The tiers were 6"-10"-14"-18".  The small bride and groom atop the cake was an antique that the bride's mother had and one that the bride played with when she was a child.  I designed and created the stand for the top tier flowers especially for this topper.  Each tier was encircled by a satin ribbon and the sides had a triple dot pattern.

This cake was exactly what the bride had imagined for her wedding.  The idea for the design was inspired by her wedding dress. The dress had a satin ribbon around the bottom which was mimicked by the ribbons around the bottom of each tier. Each ribbon was then lined with tiny pearls of icing, inspired by the pearls worn around the bride’s neck and in her hair. The pearls staggered on the sides of the cake reflect the pearls that were staggered on the bodice of her gown. The exact pattern and size of the pearls was duplicated by using a scrap piece of fabric from the dress. Strawberries and blueberries topped the cake and cascade down the sides to give a fresh spring look to the cake.

This cake was designed for a couple that was married in Jamaica and held a reception back at home after the wedding and honeymoon.  It features three tiers, 8"-10"-12".  The cake was white with buttercream frosting.  The palm trees circled all three tiers of the cake.

This is a white-on-white version of the palm tree cake.  Believe it or not, this cake is quite a bit smaller than the palm tree cake shown above.  The tiers on this version are 4"-6"-8".  The cake flavor was chocolate chip with buttercream frosting.  This cake was made for another couple that was married in the Carribean and came back home for a reception.

This cake was flowing with purple carnations.  The cake was a rich chocolate with a coconut flavored frosting.  The frosting coat was tinted a very light mauve to contrast and compliment the more than 250 carnations on the cake.  Forget-me-nots and small swirl flowers dotted the tops of the two larger tiers.  The snow-globe topper was provided by the bride and made for a wonderful keepsake for the couple.
