Besides a desire to promote the beautiful in this world, I try to create intimate subjects that draw the viewer into the painting using colors that catch the eye. My paintings provide refreshment and visual delight so the viewer can break away from negative news and stresses in our everyday lives.

Marcella Martin lives in Escondido and has painted in watercolor for the past 11 years. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois. Martins exhibitions include Stockholm, the Escondido Library, Coast-to-Crest in the Escondido Artist Gallery, and the Del Mar Fair as well as local shows. Custom pet portraits, book covers, and lines of web art broaden Martins scope of artistic ventures.
