Emilie is a daughter of Johann Gottfried Kienow and Euphrosine Mittelstadt. Carl Oesterriech is listed in the Collin church records as coming from Fürstensee, Pommern. This was a small village at the south end of a small lake, the Plöne See, now the town is Przywodzie, Poland. I recently found his birth record, and their marriage record in the church book from Fürstensee. This is south of Stargard, now Szczecinski, Poland. From the dates of birth of their children, we know that they must have arrived in the United States in 1857, and settled in Watertown, Wisconsin. By 1870 they had relocated to Rochester, Minnesota. William Craig has listed the Oesterreichs at Rootsweb.com under FTM061401. Emilie had a twin brother, Carl Eduard Kienow whom I hope to confirm is my great great grandfather, married to Sophia Höst.
