ATV 3

This ride sucked and it's all Dennis's fault. This Crazy Pollock took me to the worst road on earth. These pictures just don't show how bad it was. The road was so bad a fox was crossing it, looked up the trail and had a heart attack. We only made 5 miles in 1-1/2 hours. This is ok we tested my 2 WD against Dennis's 4 WD . My ATV did just wonderful on rocky, off camber, washed out, steep climbs, going up and down.

The fox actually was shot by some asshole for no reason. The idiot should have at least moved it off the trail and taken the tail, or better yet instead of just killing it, let it live to breed. It really wasn't all that bad we did have some nice scenery. and,,,We did move to a better location!

It's a good thing Dennis didn't bring his power tools or we could be in jail. I just know he is thinking about taking that gate down. (If he brought his other ATV it has a winch, he could pull it down). This guy is almost my idol and as you can tell much more wacked out than me. If you think I'm out hitting it, this guy is retired and hits it every day. He never just sits. Go Go Go !

Ah this is a good day ! I guess I could be home watching TV (or entertaining the wife) No it doesn't get any better than this !

I have a Honda Recon , my neighbor Dennis has Honda Rubicon or Rincon (one of the 2 ?). Mine is 2 wheel drive and ~ 400 pound. His is 4 wheel drive and ~ 800 pounds. You can see the size difference. They are both fun and make you do something.

There are a few places that I have not been to or when I went the first time many years ago it was not what I was looking for. Today I will try 3 short rides to revisit some of those area's .

Ride 1 is at an area not too far past 4 Peaks turn off on 87. I road around and was able to hook back up with 4 Peaks RD . This was an easy ride. On the way back to the truck, I found some paths that were really nice to cruse on. They were quad paths for sure ! I wound my way around and crossed under the bridge under 87 and came out the West side. I followed the creek down till it converged with Sycamore Creek.

There was a nice sand bar in the creek and it seemed like a good spot to eat lunch.

A nice place to visit but I don't know if I will be back ? lets move on !

I actually found Bushnell's tanks !
Pretty cool ,the main tank is made of hand laid stone. There are many watering troughs around the main storage tank ? Why so many watering troughs ? How did they get the water in the main tank ? Wandering minds want to know ! It was nice once,,,,, but lets move on.

I don't know how but the water was blue (ish). And,,,!,, there were fish swimming in it ? This was dry a few months ago. Where did the fish come from ?

Remember that area that sucked? WELL,,,, just across 87 is Indian Springs. Beautiful cacti wonderful ATV paths. At the end of the ATV wash/trail was the BIG payoff.
