April 23 2005 Seven Spring to Sheep Bridge
Oh ! See all the people that showed up to go on the ride. Sure glad I never count on anyone. (Click on the picture to go back to the index and read my Philosophy on this.)
Just pictures along the way
Funny how some of the formations seem to repeat almost exactly through out the west and sometimes within miles of each other.
Someone said that I should make the ride more interesting by going down Tangle Creek. "Oh really ! I never would have thought of that " (Of course that person didn't show up.) I did find many really nice sections to ride and got skunked a few times with fences or natural obstruction. Best of all,,,, I did find the most BITCHIN CAMPING SPOT !,,,,, 100 foot trees with dense canopy, creek splashing by and my tracks in the bare dirt were the only recent tracks.

I think I have this exact picture but in another place and time. I guess landmarks can be misleading. See GPS mounted to handlebar in lower left picture.
Sheep Bridge ? I remember a more dangerous looking bridge in the 80's. Back then we would come in from Pine Mountain area and head west to the bridge. Back then it was all about speed and we didn't waste time looking at stuff like this.
See,,, I knew this bridge didn't look like I remembered it !
You can see part of the old structure left of the new bridge.
NO,,, this isn't me
Nice beaches on both side of the bridge,,,,,,, very white clean sand !
On the trip back I tried following the bottom land but not in the wash. I found many interesting & scenic routes. I hit many dead ends but that’s what exploring is all about ! Total trip just under 100 miles.
Sometimes you have to look up for the best scenery.
