Just who are Deborah and Russ Plylar?
Deborah and Russ have enjoyed tremendous success as performers and music educators in the Valley of the Sun for over 31 years. The pair performs over 200 engagements annually and presents concerts thoughout the Southwest as soloists and with the Sizzling Southwest Brass. Students of all levels and ages are given the rare opportunity to interact and study with such world class performer/ teachers! As music educators and private instructors, Deborah and Russ energetically pursue the connection between teacher and student. As a result, students attain standards of excellence personally and musically, which are rarely achieved by simply taking private lessons.

Deborah and Russ Plylar exhibit and share their passion for the highest standards of musical excellence with students of all ages. Regardless of a student’s current level of playing, he or she will develop a sense of pride in his or her accomplishments and a sense of satisfaction in striving for goals which are attainable with regular attention and practice.
Students of the Plylar Trumpet Academy have access to a unique collection of musical and personal opportunities. The Academy routinely places students in the premier musical organizations found in the Phoenix metro area. including the Phoenix Symphony Youth Orchestras and Young Sounds. Many perform with regional and all state bands at all levels. The emphasison leadership, outstanding musicianship, and instilling the love of all types of music are paramount to the students development.
