Activist Resources Animal Industry Foundation - this site, put out by people promoting the use/abuse of animals, has links to pretty much every abusive form of animal industry that you can think of. Not a fun page to browse through, but the links could be useful to keep an eye on the "opposition". The Animal's Agenda - a bimonthly news magazine dedicated to informing people about animal rights and cruelty-free living for the purpose of inspiring action for animals. The Animals' Agenda is committed to serving--and fostering cooperation among--a combined audience of animal advocates, interested individuals, and the entire animal rights movement. AnimalConcerns.org (formerly Animal Rights Resource Site) - a project of the EnviroLink Network, a non-profit organization which has been providing access to thousands of online environmental and animal rights/welfare resources since 1991. This community serves as a clearinghouse for information on the Internet related to animal rights and welfare. Animals in Print - offers a free, e-mail animal rights newsletter, has sample letters, online petitions and lots of links. AIP is an organization dedicated to educating others about cruelty towards animals. Animals' Voice Magazine - The Animals Voice is an award-winning, independent, networking source of timely information, news, campaigns, boycotts, action alerts, and thought-provoking editorial and compelling photography about animal rights and its defenders. Has a list of 10,000 links! All4Vegan - Your vegan source for personal connections, information, inspiration, activation and much more. Bullfrog Films - Over the last 28 years, Bullfrog Films has become the leading US publisher of independently-produced, environmental videos, that point the way to living healthily, happily, and with greater concern for the other inhabitants of this planet, and for our descendants. Check out their Animal Rights section! Reduced rates for activists. The Conservative Activists' Giant E-Mail Links Page - As they say on the website, "Here's your one-stop 'megaphone' where you can E-Mail letters to your elected representatives, talk shows, the media, and even write letters to the editor. Tell them what you think!" DawnWatch - tips on e-mail etiquette and a page for e-mail action. The DawnWatch website is a base for the newsletter. It is a place you can look to for pointers on various topics. The newsletter will cite a story or article which concerns animals (sometimes a story on health or nutrition) and provide an email link to the media source. You only have to click a button to dash off a quick note and make your voice heard. Doris Day Animal League - legislative info and "sign and send" letters to Congress. DDAL is a nonprofit, national, citizens lobbying organization formed to focus attention on issues involving the humane treatment of animals. Educators for Animal Rights - provides an on-line educational resource for educators, students and the public. 4 Paws Fundraising - a website that will help you and your animal welfare organization raise money through no-cost / low-cost fundraising ideas that really work. HerbWeb: Animal Rights Resources - they have a huge list of links to online resources. OpEdLetters.com - enables you to send a letter to the editor to hundreds of American newspapers, all at once ("Op/Ed" meaning "Opinion and Editorial"). PETA's Action Alerts page has a great list of current issues for letter writers. "The Witness" video web page - How does a construction contractor from a tough Brooklyn neighborhood become an impassioned animal activist? This video is a great tool for activists to share with others to show what turns a regular guy into an animal rights activist. World Animal Net Directory - the world's largest database of animal protection societies, with over 10,000 listings and links to more than 3,000 Web Sites.
Multi-Issue Organizations Animal Protection Institute - advocates for the protection of animals from cruelty and exploitation with more than thirty years of fighting animal abuse. Compassion Over Killing - COK’s main function lies in conducting investigations, organizing public demonstrations and other educational activities, and actively working to bring about a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman. Doris Day Animal League - Working with members of the House of Representatives and the Senate both in Washington, D.C., and their home states and districts, the League's goal is to pass laws to reduce the suffering of animals anywhere they are mistreated. Humane Society of the United States - The HSUS is dedicated to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion. We seek a truly humane society in which animals are respected for their intrinsic value, and where the human-animal bond is strong. In Defense of Animals - a national organization dedicated to ending animal cruelty and exploitation wherever it might exist. Last Chance for Animals - LCA recognizes that animals have the ability to experience pain, and as such they deserve certain basic rights protecting them from pain caused by humans. LCA believes that non-human animals should not be subjected to suffering and exploitation by humans because alternatives exist for nearly every traditional "usage" of animals. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - PETA is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing and eliminating animal abuse wherever it occurs. PETA uses public education, litigation, research and investigations, media campaigns, lobbying and grassroots organizing to accomplish its goal of protecting all species from exploitation and cruelty. Physicians' Committee for Responsible Medicine - PCRM is a nonprofit organization that promotes preventative medicine, conducts clinical research and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research.
Legal Issues Animal Law Journal - The nation's first and only law review devoted exclusively to animal issues. Animal Law is a student-run law review at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. Animal Law offers a unique forum for the scholarly discussion of legal issues related to animals. The review's objective is to educate the legal community and other interested groups and individuals about the current status of animal-related issues. Animal Legal Defense Fund - For nearly a quarter-century, ALDF has been pushing the U.S. legal system to end the abuse and cruelty that result from animals' classification as property. They've won precedent-setting victories, and continue to raise awareness among judges and prosecutors of animals' rights to freedom from captivity, violence and exploitation. Animal Rights Law - Animal Rights Law is a formal part of the curriculum at Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. ARL trains law students, produces legal materials for those who cannot afford legal assistance, and seeks to foster and facilitate general social discourse about animal rights and the human/animal relationship.

Journal of International Wildlife Law & Policy - The Journal's mission is to address legal and political issues concerning the human race's interrelationship with and management of wildlife species, their habitats, and the biosphere. The Harvard Law School Student Animal Legal Defense Fund - seeks to become one of the finest national resources for those interested in animal law. Not only do we hope to provide opportunities and assistance to Harvard Law School Students, but we want be an organization of universal utility for those working to promote positive legal protection of animal welfare. Meyer & Glitzenstein - a Washington, D.C. - based public interest law firm dedicated to providing high quality legal services and advocacy for non-profit organizations at below market rates or on a statutory fee basis. Oregon Attorney Scott Beckstead - advocates for animals in court and in the political arena and has litigated, negotiated, campaigned, written and lobbied on almost every important animal welfare issue of our time. Anti-Vivisection/Animals in Science American Anti-Vivisection Society - dedicated to ending experimentation on animals in research, testing, and education. AAVS also opposes and works to end other forms of cruelty to animals. Americans For Medical Advancement - AFMA promotes human wellness by exposing the lost opportunities for cures and the life-threatening results of animal-modeled biomedical research. The Campaign for Responsible Transplantation - CRT, a non-profit organization, was launched out of concern over the irresponsible rush to commercialize animal-to-human organ, cell and tissue transplantation (xenotransplantation) using genetically modified pigs, and nonhuman primates. CRT is seeking a total ban on xenotransplantation. Charities Info - site by PCRM listing charities that do and don't test on animals Doctors Against Dog Labs - represents physicians who oppose the practice of using dog vivisection to teach basic physiology and pharmacology to first-year medical students. We oppose it on moral and ethical grounds, and believe there are other effective ways to teach basic physiology and pharmacology. Doctors & Lawyers for Responsible Medicine - DLRM's objective is the immediate and unconditional abolition of all animal experiments, on medical and scientific grounds. Hidden Crimes Photographic Exhibition on Vivisection - this is an incredible site! It has (very graphic) photos of all sorts of vivisection. If you are ever looking for a resource for anti-vivisection photos, this is it. The Institute for In Vitro Sciences - a non-profit, technology driven, foundation dedicated to the advancement of alternative test methods. The Institute (1) provides non-animal research and testing services,(2) sponsors workshops and training courses in in vitro methods, and (3) creates a forum where Industry, Government and Animal Welfare proponents can meet to determine constructive programs which effectively reduce animal use. The Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) - has worked with scientists since 1981 to find new methods to replace the use of laboratory animals in experiments, reduce the number of animals tested, and refine necessary tests to eliminate pain and distress. Medical Research Modernization Committee - national health advocacy group composed of physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who evaluate the benefits, risks and costs of medical research methods and technologies. National Anti-Vivisection Society - NAVS promotes greater compassion, respect and justice for animals through educational programs based on respected ethical and scientific theory and supported by extensive documentation of the cruelty and waste of vivisection. The Nature of Wellness - a not-for-profit organization seeking to inform the public about the medical and scientific invalidity and counter productiveness of animal experimentation and the massive damages it causes to our health, environment and economy. New England Anti-Vivisection Society - NEAVS advocates for the protection of animals through public outreach efforts and publications, through education programs designed to promote greater compassion and respect for life, and through the support of legislative initiatives and litigation intended for the protection of animals. Psychologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - PSYETA has worked with social scientists, mental health providers and other animal rights organizations to reduce the suffering and exploitation of both human and nonhuman animals. Currently, PSYETA has three areas of focus: 1) The practice and policy implications of the relation between human violence and animal abuse. 2) The development of the academic field of Human-Animal Studies. 3) The replacement, refinement, and reduction of the use of nonhuman animals as models of human disorders. Farm Animals Animal Place - Animal Place is a nonprofit sanctuary for abused and discarded ‘farm’ animals founded in 1989. Besides rescue work, Animal Place also concentrates on education. They develop educational materials to provide the public, primarily youngsters, with information on why they should view ‘farm’ animals as more than just food. Farm Animal Reform Movement -a national, tax-exempt, educational organization advocating a plant-based diet and humane treatment of farmed animals through eight grassroots programs. Farm Sanctuary -non-profit organization dedicated to ending the exploitation of animals used for food production. Since incorporating in 1986, Farm Sanctuary has established America's premier farm animal shelters and waged effective campaigns to stop farm animal cruelty.
