Article
Who Killed Cicero?

Sierra Leone

The tortured soul of Africa
And all humanity
Your diamonds of blood
Are the mosquitoes
In the elephant eyes of the continent
How can you be so Chaka and Zulu?
Your sons amputate
Arms and legs
Babies, toddlers and women
All guilty of innocence
This war of control and abuse
Not of justice or legitimacy
But a leprous infected crocodile heart
Willing to sacrifice
The people's comfort and decency
You let the world be damned
So long blood monies fuel your war.
Rebel leader alone made 22 million dollars
While African progressives build
Cathedrals of hope and progress
Yours the most vicious degeneracy
Without conscience, a relentless decay.
Remember:
Guns, arrows and bitterness
Never make a harmonious community.
