Nurturing Core Ministry
What is "Nurturing
Ministry?"
Prince of Peace is a ministry that cares deeply about
people--their well-being, their care, their relationship with God. People
and relationships are important to us at PoP because people are important
to God.
The Nurturing Ministries of Prince of Peace create
opportunities for people to grow in their connection with Jesus and in
their connections with other Christians. When people experience life at
PoP, they experience genuine care in the context of relationships that
transform lives for eternity.
To help these relationships happen, we reach out to
people through specialized ministries. These ministries include:
4
Small Group Ministry – providing opportunities for
people to build relationships and make connections with others of
like-purpose, -interest, or -life situations, centered around a relationship with Jesus. Learn more about Small Group Ministry by clicking
here.

CROSSWALK - Young Adults' and Young Professionals' Groups –
We serve as a hub for groups of young adults in NoVa who are seeking to
connect with other people around a relationship with Christ. We provide
small groups where you can get connected, as well as periodic worship and
prayer opportunities and opportunities to serve and make a difference in
our world. We are constantly growing, so call (703.451.5855) or email
the church office for more information on getting connected.
4
Stephen Ministry – a one-on-one caring relationship
provided by individuals who have been trained to listen and give care; contact a
pastor to
learn more. See more information about Stephen Ministry at
PoP by clicking here.

Student Ministry
- Our goal is to connect students in a relevant, living relationship with
Jesus, and to connect students with one another in relationships that are
growing in Christ. See our detailed description of our student ministries
here.
4
S.L.I.C.K. (Singles Living In
Christ's Kingdom) – helping people connect with other
single people as they also connect with Christ; provides opportunities to
gather, give mutual care and support, and come together for activities.
4
Caring/Visitation ministry – for those who are
hospitalized, recovering, or shut-in, we seek to be a caring, Christ-like
presence in their lives; please contact the
church office
(703.451.5855) if you have a
special need.
4
Family Ministry – providing care, support, and
events designed for families, giving them a place where they are
encouraged and equipped, and a place where they experience a sense of
belonging.
4
Helping Hands Ministry – we seek to demonstrate our
love and care to people during various life-events; putting this love into
action may take the form of helping with meals while a family member is in
the hospital, or providing rides to church for those who are not able to
drive.
4
Health Ministry – helping people experience a sense
of well-being in their physical lives reflects the value God has placed on
us as His children.
We invite you to experience this sense of community
for yourself through any of these Christ-centered opportunities to be
strengthened physically, emotionally, and spiritually as you continue your
journey with Christ.
