August 2008 Brethren,
once again it was great to see so many members and other Brothers at the
stated this past month. We passed three Brethren to FC on July 22 and
conducted a Master Masons degree on August 7, 2008; congratulations to
our most recent Master Mason Brother Barrett McHenry. Sixteen
members also traveled to St. Tammany’s lodge on July 21st and obtained
the traveling gavel. I thank all of you for your support. It couldn’t
happen with out your dedication. September
9, 2008 will be Past Masters Night, please come out and enjoy the fun.
Don’t forget the three day school September 15th thru 17th at Bremond
Lodge. Poquoson
Lodge has all positions in the first section of the Master Masons.
Please get with Worshipful Gene Ferguson our LIW and help us out. The
one day conferral is being held at the Scottish Rite August 16, 2008 at
7:00AM, please come out and support us. We need at least six people,
more would be great. We
will be discussing the possibility of selling bonds so we can have
enough money to install the parking lot. If it passes, we will sell
bonds directly after the meeting on Aug. 12th. I
want to apologize for being late with the news letter and as always, I
appreciate the support that everyone has provided this year. If you have
any suggestions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.

The Secretary is updating the list of building key holders. If you currently have a key for the Lodge building, please email the number on your key to the secretary at boputtz@aol.com, or provide that information at a lodge meeting.
Sickness and Distress Wor. Buster Martin continues to experience health problems.
RW Charles Drummond continues to have health problems.
Wor Jackie Holloway is undergoing chemotherapy.
Brother Earnest Diggs is at home but is not doing well.
Brother Les Humphrey has been moved to the Coliseum Park Nursing Home.
Brother Marvin Bloxom is in Golden Living Center Bayside Nursing Home.
RW Sidney Freeman is in the Hampton VA Hospital.
RW Sheldon Herondorf is doing well but still cannot attend as much as he would like .
Brother Coston Forrest is in Golden Living Center Bayside Nursing Home.
Brother William Hearn is in Golden Living Center
Brother John Blair is in Golden Living Center Bayside Nursing Home. RW Roy Rollins is at home and is improving some. Worshipful Norman Garrett had surgery and is back home and recovering. Brother Mike Foster had back surgery and is doing a little better. Brethren please keep these Brothers and their families in your prayers, prayers do help. If you can take time to visit with them. Brethren, we are working hard to update information. if I have failed to recognize someone's birthday, I apologize and please do not let this stop you from attending the meetings.
