The Bepuzzled Pilgrim
Poster Artwork by Edward R. Cox, coloring by Vatican Lokey
One of Porta-Puppet Players most popular productions, The Bepuzzled Pilgrim expanded from a 10-year-old, two-person touring show to a newly-revised eight person cast & crew stage event as the followup to the previous season's surprise hit, Porta-Puppet's
Sammy the Sorcerer's Unsightly Halloween.  New puppets were added to the show, and one even got her own song.  The new musical number
"Fancy Meeting You Down Here"  was voiced by Becky Daigrepont as an unnamed lady fish. Times-Picayune theatre critic David Cuthbert  suggested the name  'Lana Tuna' in his review of the production, a name she carries today.  A new human character, "Little Feather", was also added, played by the delightful Ashley Thompson.  The production earned critical praise and support in the theatre community for its offbeat humor, quick timing, and
audience interaction.
Below is the original webpage for the production.

Porta Puppet Players, the premiere puppet theatre company of New Orleans, returns to Teddy's Corner of Le Petit with a delightful treat for the entire family!

For the Teddy's Corner production of this delightful show, Porta Puppet Players' curator, "Uncle" Wayne
Daigrepont has reworked and expanded the script to include new puppetfolk, audience interaction, and the debut of a brand-new human character, "Little Feather"!  Taking the title role of "Xavier" is award-winning actor and PPP staple VATICAN LOKEY, who takes audiences along with him as he searches for what to serve for the first Thanksgiving. What he finds along the way will tickle and "bepuzzle" you into a happy, thankful mood for the holidays!

Porta Puppet Players, now in it's tenth year, specializes in
"original puppet musical comedies",
designed to entertain all ages, from 5 to 105!
Their shows never "talk down" to the audience, but carry
them along with a tongue-in-cheek zaniness
fans say "feels like the 40's Warner Bros. cartoons!"
