"Get Involved." It's the motto of The American Legion. It's also the primary reason why more and more dedicated veterans continue to devote their lives to their country. It's the background of involvement that creates and supports the feeling of comaraderie which makes The American Legion the nation's largest and fastest growing organization of wartime veterans.
Membership Eligibility
If you have served on federal active duty in the armed forces during any of the war eras listed below, and have been honorably discharged or you are still serving in the Armed Forces of the United States, you are eligible for membership in The American Legion today!

*Because current eligibility dates remain open at this time, all members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion now. Membership will be open until the date of the end of hostilities, that date will be determined by the government of the United States.
