V. Operations.

1. Convoys. Formation of Ad Hoc Convoys and engagement of Group Missions is encouraged. Non-Members with a good reputation with France are welcome and should be encouraged to participate, provided payment up-front of an estimated Commission on any cargoes to be carried.

2. Escorts. Payment of Escorts -- both Member and Non-Member -- is encouraged at all times. Company Escort fees shall consist of an equal portion of Mission Proceeds, minus Comission (paid to the Company). Non-Member Escort fees shall be as negotiated by the Escort and convoy members; if sharing directly in Mission Proceeds, Commission regulations shall apply.

VI. Discipline.

1. Purpose. A. Discipline is intended to correct serious or systematic problems that interfere with the good operation of the Company. It is expected that most disputes will be resolved by the parties in question, if necessary with mediation of the Directeur-Generaal and/or other Board Officers. B. Examples of situations warranting Discipline. Systematic or serious disregard for the direction of a Commandeur; failure to provide Escort services as agreed at the start of a mission; repeated offensive behavior such as foul language, rudeness, etc.

2. Procedure. Discipline shall be conducted through the Company Forum in the form of a Hearing. The Plaintiff(s) shall post a Complaint stating the facts of the case as he or she sees them. The Defendant(s) are then entitled to post a Response to this Complaint. Once Complaint and Response are posted, up to one week discusson may ensue as determined by the Officers. Once the Officers have determined discussion is concluded, a Vote will be held asking: "Is Defendant found guilty of the alleged Complaint?" The outcome of this Vote shall determine whether or not Discipline is carried out. Officers reserve the right to deny a Hearing and close discussion without a vote. If a Hearing is denied, either Plaintiff or Defendant may petition through the normal Appeals process, i.e. opening the issue up to vote of the Membership.

VI. Discipline 2b.

In the case that a Defendant (s ) does not respond for any reason to the Complaint within two weeks, contact through PM or email will be done by the Directeurs or Board Officers. If the Defendant still does not respond or cannot return in a timely manner, they will forfeit their membership status and access to the private forums forthwith. The Defendant becomes Probationary Member in Absentia until they return. Furthermore, the determination of timely will be made by the Board Officers given the severity of the Complaint and the reputations of the Members involved. Once contact is re-established, full membership will be reinstated immediately and the Complaint resumed from the date the Defendant has returned to the Company. Expulsion from the Company requires a full vote by Members as per Article VI.2. which will be held 45 days for non-returning Probationary Members in Absentia . Fines will be commensurate with the Disciplinary action taken.

Expeditious Discipline:

In the case of an emergent and severe threat to the Good Standing of the Company or to any Member in Good Standing, the Board of Directors will convene in an Emergency Session. This Emergency Session will have minutes taken and posted in the forums for all members perusal. In such case, the Board can invoke the Executive Order granted to the Directeur-General to facilitate resolving a clear and present threat to the Company. Only a Majority Yea from the Board Officers can invoke the use of the Executive Order in this circumstance. The Defendant Member in this case would be moved forthwith to Probationary Member status. A full membership vote would then ensue for complete expulsion from the Company.

Threats that constitute such action would include: member (s ) in violation of the PotBS legal framework, member (s ) using exploitive issues in-game, etc.


3. Punishments. Upon being found at fault in any Company Hearing the Captain shall be punished as per the vote of the membership. Fine, removal of Good Standing, reduction of Tenure, expulsion, and swearing out of criminal charges with the government may be appropriate, bounty (reward for sinking) may be made if extreme action by the captain has happened. Any Criminal activity of a member should be dealt with within the Company if possible. If the situation cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the Officers then a Charge should be made regarding the action to the local Government. In cases of outright theft or piracy, the defendant may be tried In Absentia if necessary. (Definition of Removal of Good Standing redundant, thus removed.)
