Guestbook & Acknowledgements

If you have been through the loss of a loved one, like Jason's case, feel free to share anything you feel may be helpful, or write a note to Jason. We also draw strength from the expressions of kindness of others. Thank you all for everything that has been done to find Jason. Click here for the guestbook. As one family member expressed so beautifully: "It is comforting to have a place on the web that connects us all. A place where we can pause and reflect and pray for Jason's safe return to our family." We also hope that these things give comfort to others who may be experiencing the same thing, so please do sign our guestbook.

Please email this website to all your friends!

Thank you!

Heartfelt thanks to:

Our entire family & our friends, who rallied to support us with prayers & poster campaigns throughout the state of Nebraska. They  worked relentlessly to get the attention of the media & to find  other resources to help us in our plight.

Our Holy Name family, who pounded the pavement all around the city putting up posters, & have prayed around the clock for Jason. Also, the yellow ribbon campaign came about from these wonderful people. (yellow ribbons line the neighborhood streets reminding people to pray for Jason….the ribbons are in Grand Island also as well as other cities nationwide.)

Our employers, Data Transmission Network, & Nebraska Furniture Mart, who joined together to fund a reward through Crimestoppers. Don't let it ever be said that employers no longer care about the well-being & families of those that work for them.

Our supervisors & co-workers, who have shown such kindness & compassion to us in our time of need & who never seem to run out of ideas to help find Jason.

Our friends from the Christ the King Lay Carmelite community, who have offered many Masses, said prayers & sent words of encouragement.

Our thanks to the good people who, though they are strangers to us, have demonstrated the true meaning of "love thy neighbor" by their words, prayers, & actions. Thank you to all who have sent cards in the mail filled with messages of hope.

Our thanks to Copycat of Grand Island for making numerous posters at a deep discount, & for DTN & NFM for providing posters of Jason to distribute & to the Wellness Council of the Midlands for distributing Jason's poster to over 300 Midlands corporations.

Our thanks to the media for continued coverage of the story & to the men & women of the Omaha Police Department for all that they do.  Thanks to the volunteer Citizens Patrol for their efforts in the search & to the North Omaha Biker's Clubs for distributing posters. Thank you to 89.7 The River , KGOR , & KKAR radio for keeping Jason's story on the airwaves. Thank you  to Slam Omaha & to Bayside Inc. for featuring Jason on their website.

Our thanks to the small town with a big heart, Shenandoah, IA.  Last July, we were  invited there for a concert of local bands, dedicated to Jason & his family. Everyone there, young & old,  treated us with such  kindness & compassion. One of the bands, Lifeduzt, played a song for the first time in public, dedicated to Jason, written about a missing loved one. The concert organizers presented us with a beautifully framed picture of Jason & a lovely centerpiece with yellow balloons. They also distributed flyers of Jason to the concert attendees. We left feeling very uplifted from the wonderful kindness & support of people who are but strangers to us, yet made us feel as if we were family. Thank you again to the organizers!

Werner Enterprises, a large local trucking firm, publishes a very professional, full color newsletter for their employees & recently featured Jason's photo & information. 20,000 copies were distributed & Jason's photo is also displayed in Werner's nationwide terminal locations. This was a very generous & no doubt costly venture, but is one that can go very far in spreading the word nationwide!
Update: Once again, Werner featured information about Jason in their July 2002 company-wide newsletter.
Thank you, Werner Enterprises!

A special thanks to Slam Omaha for sending Jason's info & the website on an email to 7,000 subscribers, plus featuring a banner ad on their website. The ad was very beautiful & we were touched by the generosity of this group for creating it.

Thanks to Bayside Inc. for coming through for us again with assistance with the business cards & a large mailing campaign to distribute these.

Thank you to the Omaha Peddlers Bicycle Club for printing the MissingJason business card in their monthly newsletter.

Thank you to all who assist with spreading the word through poster and/or business card distribution and with your kind thoughts and prayers.

The greatest mother the world has ever known who has the
most pure love of her Son,
Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior.

Note:  The original guestbook entries are archived & will be placed on the site in the near future.  As the @Home Company was dissolved, that guestbook is no longer assessable on the web.

Please keep the posters going up!

This page is dedicated in loving memory of my father, Lawrence Anthony Murphy, who passed away from this life on December 23, 1999.  He had the gift of writing passionately, from the heart.
