Over 100 people of all faiths came together on Friday, December 14th, at Holy Name Church, to sing songs, listen to scripture readings, and to pray for a common cause. Friends of Jason's led prayers for missing people and their families. The musicians sang the website theme song, Night of Silence, as we lit the candles of all in attendance. Family members read scripture and led petitions to God, which included: (please feel free take this time to offer up these petitions to God)
For Jason, & all missing people, that God may hold them safe in His loving arms, & if it be His Will, may they be returned to their families, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
For the families of all missing people, that they may seek comfort in God & know that He will provide them with the strength to sustain them in this difficult time, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
For the hundreds of kind people who have assisted in the efforts to help find Jason, may God continue to bless them & their families abundantly, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
For all of us gathered here tonight, & for those of us that are here in spirit, may we grow in the love of God & our neighbor, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
Heavenly Father, as the world waits for Your Son, teach us to wait and to trust in Your perfect plan, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
As we look towards the coming of the Prince of Peace, may there be peace in our world, in our land, in our homes, & in our hearts, we pray to the Lord. (Lord, hear our prayer)
December 13th marked six months since Jason disappeared from our lives. He, however, is not gone from our hearts, as we continue to have hope that he will one day, very soon be returned to us safely.
In this most holy of seasons, as we joyfully anticipate the coming of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, we join together, lifting our hearts and voices in song and prayer.
For those that could not attend, we know that you are always with us in spirit and in prayer.
May you and your family have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
Jim, Kelly, & Michael Jolkowski
