Now Showing: "God's Big Picture"

Life - An Ecclesiastical View

Life in this world,
Is just a fleeting mirage,
In the timespan of God's eternity.
It's a subliminal frame,
In the showing of God's Big Picture,
Where joys and fulfillments,
End as quickly as they begin.

Our fears and frustrations,
Are only vapors,
Gone in an instant of time.
And so our earthly joys,
Like willowy wisps of wind,
Depart in unknown directions,
Leaving behind continued desire.

But God's love and peace,
Are the everlasting threads,
Used to weave our garments of faith,
Endowing us with His strength,
And enabling us to look past the present,
Temporal things of this world,
To a glory-filled, eternal future.

In the grand scheme of things,
"Ours" and "mine" are meaningless,
Only "His" will endure.
Trust in the things of the present,
And that's all you have.
Trust in the Everlasting,
And your life will have only just begun.
