God's Stable

A star led the wise men to the place,
Where God had birthed His Amazing Grace.
A lowly stable with cattle and sheep,
And a simple manger for our Savior to sleep.
It was just a barn with not much light,
Until our Lord's presence made it bright.
There had been no room for Him in the inn,
But what a prophetic place to begin.

God doesn't need a great place to start,
All He wants is man's humble heart.
His Spirit will lead us to that place,
Where we can receive God's mercy and grace.
In man's lowly heart is where He'll reside,
No exterior structure but right down inside.
Will you open your heart to let Him move in,
Or is your heart still a crowded inn?
