| | Welcome to my web site! Here I am in my home
office in San Clemente where I spend time preparing for my classes at Chaffey
College and grading student papers.  I
have been teaching at Chaffey since 1979. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in English at the
University of
California in Santa Barbara. My special interests include Shakespeare and classical
studies. An inveterate traveler, I spent a year's sabbatical in
Greece,
a summer in Rome on a
Fulbright
Scholarship, and taught one semester for Chaffey College in London.
I reside in San Clemente with my husband John, a retired classics and philosophy teacher. I have two
married adult daughters, Emily, who is an inclusion specialist in the Norwalk/La
Mirada school district, and Julia, who is the director of corporate compliance
at Disney. My grandson Andy is the joy of my life.
