PT518 Photo showing the Day Room
The front row of men are standing on the main deck on the port side of the boat; backed up to the outer bulkhead of the Day Room which you can see under my left elbow (front row, right end). The men in the second row are squatting on the top of the Day Room while those in the 3rd row are standing on it.
The top of the portside, self-sealing, fuel tank is just a few inches below the feet of the men in the front row.
