PT&E Artist Policy
Revised 4/5/05
Premier Tournaments and Events (PT&E) recognizes the contributions of illustrators and artists to the gaming industry. Accordingly, PT&E, on behalf of its customers and players, encourages and invites artists to attend events. This document outlines the PT&E policy on attending artists.
1. An artist is defined as an individual who has received an artistic credit for the illustration of one or more cards in any featured game for any tournament or event.
2. Artists will be allowed to set up a minimum of 1 table eight-feet or six-feet in length. Additional tables may be offered by PT&E based on space availability.
3. Artists will be allowed to sell, trade, and display any original artwork, prints, autographed pieces, and/or cards to attendees of the event.
4. Artists may, but are not required to, charge a fee for “on-demand” artwork. This includes, but is not limited to, artistic modifications to trading cards not including autographs and drawings or sketches on play mats.
5. Artists may not charge fees for autographs on cards or related accessories, although they may at their discretion limit the number of autographs granted per person.
6. To reserve a display table at an event, written notification must be provided to ptegames@cox.net no later than ten (10) days prior to the event. Once received, a confirmation message will be sent. By doing this, the artist agrees that mention of his or her name may be used in advertising for the event. This written notification does not give PT&E the right to use any of the artist’s artwork, or reproductions thereof, in any way.
7. Artists will not be charged by PT&E for use of the display tables given in accordance with the reservation procedure.
8. PT&E may commission a particular artist to appear at any event. The presence of commissioned artists, who may be under separate private agreement, does not affect this policy as it relates to noncommissioned artists.
9. Regardless of compliance with the reservation procedures, PT&E reserves the right to decline attendance requests from any artist for any reason.
10. PT&E reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Modification of this policy does not alter agreements agreed upon prior to its modification.
