The Shaker Hood was created by Terry Delong of Pro-Finish (link in my links section)...or as I refer to him "The God Of Glass"
This is what the air cleaner that came with the kit looks like inside the Shaker box. It has nice looks to it, but it is too restrictive, in my opinion.
I added the K&N X-Stream lid to get more airflow into the engine. It makes a BIG difference in quick throttle situations, and it also helps in the higher RPM range.
Well it was time for new tires. The Goodyear Eagle RS-A's that came on the truck were not good enough for the machine that they are supposed to be holding to the ground. So I found an incredible replacement. The Nitto Extreme NT 450's. The tire was almost a direct replacement, (275/50/17) with one exception...they are a little wider. One more plus for the Nitto's. :)
Oh yeah, I painted the centercaps at this time too. Special thanks to Johnny Mac. for the paint.
The rollpan was also done by Terry. Once again another perfect piece of glass from him.
