Druids were said to be the Priests and Magicians of the Celtic people. The word Druids actually came from the word, "oak." They were held as a very high class among the people and were highly respected. It took people around 20 years of studying to become a druid. Upon finishing their 20 year long study course, they were considered a walking encyclopedia. Druid history was very harsh and cruel. They were persecuted by the Romans, Norsemen, Normans, Saxons, and even Christians. There are no real reasons why they were persecuted, but all that's shown is that they were persuceted from all of these cultures.

Druids didn't wear a lot of different stuff. They always liked to wear white clothing and white everything. They had no markings for ranks because the Druids thought that would bring up a lot of fighting for a special higher rank. They treated everyone equally and fairly. They needed no markings either. They were always known as the wise people in white to the Celtic people. During their rituals, they would weir their White Tunic and on certain occasions they would wear special ornaments that the Druids approved of.
The Druids didn't build the temple, they really just found it and decided to use it to be their temple. People would talk there and meet up. They used it back then and continued doing their rituals there. Now, the druids are allowed in once a year for the ritual. During that time, Stonehenge is closed to the public visitors. Only the druids are allowed to be there during that time. The Druids communicated there and just met there to tell of events and etc. It helped druids from all over the area who couldn't communicate with certain druids communicate. They would meet there and hear all about the events and everyone would meet up just like a party.
