Stonehenge, Commucation of the Druids
For my first year of participating in NHD, I have selected a topic that has puzzled many scientists. There are many mysteries wrapped in mysteries. I have chosen Stonehenge for my NHD topic this year. I chose this because this topic seemed to be really puzzling and I always like a challenge. I had found the topic of Stonehenge. Even though I didn’t have a lot of prior knowledge about this topic, I just kept wanting to do it. As time passed on, I wanted to do it more and more! I couldn’t resist a challenge, so I chose Stonehenge.
Learning about Stonehenge has been very hard, yet rewarding. There are no primary source materials on Stonehenge because Stonehenge is so old. I’ve used the internet to do much research. I know the internet can be unreliable, but once I’ve gotten similar facts on every site I go to, I know it probably is factual. Mrs. Richonne has persuaded me to go to library, also. I went to University Park library. There were some books, but not a lot. I borrowed what I could and kept visiting. The most effective source for me was the Internet.
The information will help me greatly on my website the reason I’m doing a website is because it can show information quickly and effectively. In this way, it will be easier to understand than an exhibit or a PowerPoint presentation. The website can show much more information than anything else. The website can put a lot if information into pages and you can choose to view which one. Overall, I’m doing a website because it looks professional.
Only some Druids are still allowed to access Stonehenge each year. The druids communicated through Stonehenge. They would sometimes have meetings and it’s believed they used this as a sacrificial altar. It was like a bulletin board. It informed all of the Druids and brought them together. The druids who came were informed of all upcoming events. It informed everybody about the current news and Stonehenge as used for other reasons like it says on my website. Scientists still haven’t been able to uncover the true mystery of Stonehenge.
Although scientists may someday know the secrets of Stonehenge, Stonehenge will take quite a while. Stonehenge is one big mystery wrapped up in many little ones. To find the mystery to Stonehenge, they first must uncover the other mysteries that are listed in my website.
