Peninsula VOLKSWAGEN CLUB

Minutes FOR FEBRUARY 2CND, 2003

1. Reports: The Peninsula Volkswagen Club met at Steve and John's Restaurant for the February meeting. President Eichelberger opened the meeting. President Eichelberger, acting as interim Treasurer, reported that the audit completed by Bob Hoard's audit committee was completed and found no discrepancies. An annual budget was prepared and presented by Eichelberger of $ and the details were passed around. The budget was later accepted by a motion and vote. He also reported expenditures for last meeting were $ for Steve and John's, and receipts totaled. The 50/50 drawing netted $, and the tip basket netted $. The treasurer's report was accepted as read. Secretary Rex Frey read the January Minutes.

2. Rex was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation as outgoing Secretary. (The Secretary Position is still available.)

3. Web site Update: Vice President Robert Alexander, web master, continues to work on our web and has included the Club Constitution and By-Laws. The Constitution and By-Laws need updating. Members may recommend changes to the Constitution and By-Laws in writing. Alexander also reviewed some of the benefits available to members such as e-mail and website forwarding.

4. VPCC: Is looking for volunteers from clubs for their Fall Car Show.

5.  VCOT info From Tom Norris: Tom mentioned a Beach Events Show for April 25th-27th that they are hoping to make a good VW showing within. See the new improved VCOT web site for more details. Also the last cruise from Lulu's in Virginia Beach was a success with 9 VWs. The next run will be from Rock-o-la here on the peninsula and is planned for 2pm, February 22cnd.

6. New President: Greg Anderson was officially presented with the gavel from Charles Eichelberger and Anderson took over the rest of the meeting.

7. Adjournment:   Eichelberger donated the cake to celebrate our anniversary. The 50/50 drawing was changed into just door prize give-away as motioned and voted on. No money was collected, just tickets handed out and drawn untill all the prizes were given away. The tip basket yielded $, and new membership (Jeff, Robin, & Jeffrey Pickett) brought in. Expenses were $ to Steve and John's for use of the room. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:28 PM.
