September 7th, 2003 Meeting

I.               Call to Order: President Greg Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:08pm.

a.     Members Present: 12

b.     Guests Present: 0

II.             Reports:

a.     Secretary’s Report:

                                                     i.     Minutes of last meeting were read by Alexander

b.     Treasurer’s Report: given by Eichenburger

c.     Website Update:

                                                     i.     The shop list data collection is ongoing.

                                                      ii.     Online poll for input to the shop list is still in the works.

                                                        iii.     Virus may come to you in the name of pvwc.org. 

1.     I received and returned email from superbeetlesonly.com rejecting an e-mail supposedly sent from us.

III.           Old Business:

a.     Name: Burney Business: Flyers have been completed.

                                                     i.     Burney donated his time as well as his expenses

                                                      ii.     A large stack was handed out.

b.     Name: Bill Sorrell Business: Recommended shop list

                                                     i.     Still waiting for more information to gather together a good list.

                                                      ii.     Alexander recommended Hopp’s Place for there willingness to work with the customer.

1.     this degraded into a conversation of all Alexander’s Thing

a.     Starting with the windshield

b.     And on to the defrost problems.

c.     Name: Rex Frey Business: Unveiled a long lost set of banners and flags.

                                                     i.     Bill Sorrell took the banners to use in any shows that he may go to.

d.     Name: Burney  Business: Asked about the founding of the club.

                                                     i.     Rex is going to look it up.

                                                      ii.     But the consensus was that it was around 1982 or ‘83 by Bill Kirky

                                                        iii.     Burney recommended that it be made part of the flyers or web site.

                                                       iv.      

IV.           New Business:

a.     Name: Norris Business: Toys for Tots car show Sunday, November 9th.

                                                     i.     Location: Genroes in VA Beach.

                                                      ii.     Registration: $15.00 day of show or a toy worth same.

                                                        iii.     Also talked about some past shows were some of our members, like Bill Sorrell, have been in and won.

b.     Name: Eichenburger  Business: Wings & Wheels is coming up.

                                                     i.     If your car is in the show you’re in the show.

                                                      ii.     We’ll put more information online.

c.     Name: Norris, Business:  A cruise to VolksFlags on October 4th.

                                                     i.     Check the VCOT web site for info.

d.     Name: Anderson, Business:  the VPCCC Virginia Fall Classic for CHKD.

                                                     i.     We are asked to sponsor a trophy at the rate of $50.00

                                                      ii.     The club voted to sponsor a trophy

                                                        iii.     Greg was going to see if we can request a specific trophy.
