PVWC Monthly Meeting

Meeting opened by President Greg Anderson at 7:15 PM

19 Members present.

Secretary read minutes of last meeting, and they were accepted.

Treasurer report

Balance at start of October Club meeting was $371.76

October Tip basket brought in 13.00 and the 50/50 brought in $18.00

Paid out $9.00 to Rob Alexander for the 50/50 and $30.00 to Steve and Johns

Balance at the end of the Meeting was 363.76

Check to VA State Corporation for dues of $25 was paid on 10/10/04

Leaving the balance for the beginning of the December meeting at 338.76

There was no November meeting to change balance

Webmaster Report

Webmaster has been having computer problems so is a bit behind on updates. Some of the links are also down but recovery is on the way and everything will be back up and running soon.

A discussion arose about the need to call folks who do not have email to advise them of club happenings. It was agreed upon that the officers will do that in the future.

New Business

Ken Perkins brought up the idea of having a club Christmas party this year. Everyone agreed it would be a good idea but no one volunteered to have it at their home. It was agreed upon that maybe it was too late in the season to plan something now as most people already have pretty full schedules. We will plan one for next year though.

Ike brought up the subject of doing an audit again this year. It was recommended that a different group do it since the same group has done it for a few years. Rob Alexander volunteered to head up the committee and Bill Sorrell and Greg Anderson will work with him on that.

Officer nominations:

Rob Alexander Nominated all the existing officers for reelection except for himself. Bill Sorrell nominated Rob to complete the Group. Bob Hoard seconded the group for reelection.

Greg Anderson nominated Bill Sorrell for president. Bob Hoard seconded.

Bill Sorrell nominated Greg Anderson for secretary. Ike seconded

Greg nominated Tom Norris for secretary after the meeting.

Ike reminded everyone that the February meeting will be the Anniversary meeting and that it will start at 6 PM not 7 PM. We will have door prizes and Cake.

Rob said we should do a mail out to all club members letting them know about this special meeting.

Old Business

The Holiday parade at the Mall went well. Not too many came out but a fun time was had none the less.

Next years VA Fall Classic planning meetings will begin in March. It was estimated there was 400 cars at this year’s event and there was over $8000 raised for CHKD.

Open Forum

Mike Maniscalo suggested we look into some sort of club sponsored show to maybe raise some more money for our club. A discussion was had with no real ideas coming out of it. Maybe we can look at again in the near future.

Rex asked if anyone had info on the VW restoration shop in Manassas. Vince said they are good but rather expensive.

50/50 brought in $30.00 and $15.00 was paid out to Mike Maniscalo
