New Business

Carl said the 4th of July parade was a huge success. We had 11 cars in the show. We did get wet at the end but everyone seemed to have a great time. He also said the organizers were impressed with our vehicles and the appropriate behavior we displayed.

Bill Sorrell discussed the possibility if looking into a new banner for the club to replace the aged looking one we have. Suggestions were made to make it the length of a bug for placement in parades when no one is available to carry it. Will look at a company called Signs by Tomorrow in Newport News to get some idea of what it may cost.

Rob Alexander mentioned several shows coming to the area or nearby. See the web page for details

Old Business

Rob Alexander asked about the status of T-shirts. Bill had not had the time to look into it yet but will still try to do that.

Bill discussed the Bughouse/VCOT show in VA Beach. 39 VW’s showed up for the event and had a super time. The bughouse fed us and kept us watered down as well. Bill Sorrell took 2nd in stock modified and Bob Hoard took 1st in stock class!

Rob said the Tech session at Tom’s was a big success. The body swap went of without a hitch and the body now happily resides on a new pan! Went to lunch at Anna’s for Pizza afterward and really enjoyed it. Low turnout unfortunately but enough to get the job done.

Took in $18.00 for the tip basket and $22.00 for the 50/50

Paid out $11.00 to Bill Sorrell for the 50/50.
