Guest was recognized by the president. Herb King retired Air Force living in Poquoson has a Beetle.
Treasurer report
Ike - Check to Peninsula CCC from January is still outstanding
Feb Tip basket $25 and 50/50 was $26, Shek won it and got $13.
Paid $35 to Steve and Johns for room. Up 5 from the usual 30 due to the Anniversary meeting.
Reimbursement to Margie for the cake and Ice cream for $18.84 form Sam’s Club
Ending Balance of $396.46

Rob - Updated calendar with new events
Still have updates to do on member’s page, photo’s etc.
Received minutes from last meeting but have not posted them yet, will update soon
New Business
Rob – attended the VA Fall Classic committee Meeting. They will allow sponsors to pick their own category for award. Payment must be in by the end of May. Amount of trophy will be $50. Voted on and passed sponsoring a “best Air Cooled Volkswagen class”
Vince - made a sales pitch for his doing engine work and selling off his inventory. See him for more info.
Greg – 4th of July parade info is in. 25th Anniversary parade so it is going to be a big one. Will go ahead and send in entry. Had 14 people say they would be in it.
Tom – Octane magazines brought for all.
6th Annual Cruise and VA Beach car show April 31 – May 2. VCOT will have a VW section, more info to follow
Khedive swap meet went well till the rains came. Will be relocated next year.
Bill – Manager from Bap/Geon has graciously offered freebies for door prizes for any upcoming events we have. Will follow up on that for items
Rob - Bill for car storage rules is now up for vote, see the VPCCC website for more details but it basically allows cars to be stored as long as they are covered and not a safety hazard. If you get a chance look at it and contact your legislator for support.
Recommendation made for a sign in sheet for meetings. Secretary agreed to start one up next months meeting.
Old Business
Article IV update – motion was discussed, voted on and passed to allow removal of members that miss more than 6 consecutive meetings. Passed by all
Open forum
Rufus suggested having another cruise, scavenger hunt type run. Will look into it and set something up soon.
Heritage Square cruise in will start April
Mike had a question concerning wiring of your headlight
switch around instead of through the ignition switch. Ideas were given for alternate
wiring schemes.
Discussed setting up some tech classes possible
Chippokes coming up soon also so get ready for the summer fun!
Took in $28 for 50/50 and $20 for the tip basket
