PVWC Monthly Meeting

 

Meeting opened by President Greg Anderson at 7:03 PM

13 Members present.

Secretary read minutes of last meeting, and they were accepted as read

 

Treasurer report

Ike was not present due to a family trip but left this report

Balance as start of August Club meeting was $361.26

Tip basket brought in 20.00 and the 50/50 brought in $19.00

Paid out $9.50 to Casey Hagist for the 50/50 and $30.00 to Steve and Johns

Ken Perkins joined at the August meeting also and paid his dues of $15.00

Balance at the end of the Meeting was 375.76

New Business

 

Mark Rogers won the Slalom event at the Bugout winning the $100 prize. Bugout was nice as usual.

 

Greg Anderson ran into some former members that are now in Germany. They are truly enjoying the Ghia they got from Shek and wanted to pass on their thanks to him

 

Tom Norris mentioned the Smithfield Ruritan show at the High School in Smithfield on the 6th of November. Bill and Tom both attended this event last year. It is a real nice local show with lots of vendors setting up.

 

Tom also mentioned that VCOT will having another show at the Bughouse in November, details to follow

 

A National Porsche 356 show is being held in Yorktown on the 2nd of October

 

 

Webmaster Report

 

New items on calendar for upcoming events, Wings and Wheels for one in Topping on 25 Sep. has been added.

 

 

Old Business

 

Discussion on how to judge the class at the fall classic was brought up. It was decided upon to not specify stock versus modified etc., we are going to go with a generic best and break it down by paint engine interior etc. Bob said he had some judging sheets from the Bugout we could possibly use.

 

Greg has his Ghia running again.

 

Rex has the flyers to Wings and wheels for those interested

 

Open Forum

 

Rufus attended a type 3 event in Hershey PA. Folks came from all over the country. A lot of tech sessions and learning experiences were had.
