Minutes April 2005
The
April meeting of the Peninsula Volkswagen Club was called to order on April 3rd
2005 at 7PM by President Bill Sorrell. Nineteen members were in attendance. Secretary
Tom Norris read the March minutes, which were accepted as read. Treasurer
Charlie Eichelberger presented the Treasurer‚s report, which was also
accepted as read.
Vice
President and Webmaster Rob Alexander presented the Webmasters report and noted
that the ODAC picnic was coming on April 23rd, and that the website calendar
has been updated.
Bill
gave a report on the Virginia Fall Classic and stated that there would be a 3
by 5 participant plaque for the first 300 registered participants. Bill also
finalized plans for the cruise to Ft. Boykin. He further stated that the
Yorktown 4th of July parade application has been mailed, and that this
year‚s route has changed.
Old
business ∑ Greg Anderson solicited volunteers to assist with the April
10th WHRV call in show.
New
business ∑ Tom offered to attach a map and directions to the ODAC picnic
on the blog. Tom also gave a report on regional car shows of interest. Rob
discussed a potential VW cruise-in to the Hampton AMC 24 in conjunction with
the premier of the new movie „Herbie Fully Loaded‰. We will discuss
further in May. Tom suggested a commemorative plaque for all participants.
Tip
basket netted $17, 50/50 raised $30, and John Huff was the winner fo $15. Other
raffle winners were Casey Haigst (oiler) and Robin Pickett, Rich Hendrick, and
Jim Collins won „beetle eggs‰.
