Ike also proposed no dues for existing members this year due to the available surplus in the budget. Dues will be required next year however to keep us on the positive side.
Carl expressed concern over the fact that we had at one point over $800.00 in the treasury but now do not. He feels as if we are running out of money and need more of a reserve.
Mark Rogers also expressed that opinion. It was brought up that We, as a club are non profit and do not desire to have a large surplus of money and it was the clubs intention over the past few years to lower the treasury to where it is now by eliminating dues as long as we could.
Bob Hoard suggested we leave the treasury as is since it is in the by-laws for the treasurer to make that call by proposing a budget and the need for dues which was done and has been presented for approval.
Bob made a motion to accept the budget as proposed and Bill Sorrell seconded it. The motion passed by majority, 10 to 1.
Rob Alexander made a motion to have dues of $5 this year to raise the treasury and it was voted down by a count of 8 to 4.
