The Hampton Coliseum Christmas Parade '03

We kept the tradition going of our VWs in the Hampton Coliseum Central Holiday Parade! This is the parade that brings Santa to the Coliseum Mall. This time it was a selection of Type 1 Convertibles, though my thing really isn't a "convertible" until I buy the top for it to convert. Anyway we had Mark Rogers in his Beatle, Carl Yeargin in his baby blue Karmann Ghia and Greg Anderson and Rob Alexander in Rob's Camouflage Thing. Riding with Greg and Rob were the Christmas Gorilla and the Giant Teddy who received most of the attention of the small kids. We could have been in a cardboard box and as long as I could keep waiving the gorilla’s hand the kids would be happy. Mark's and Carl's VWs were all shined up and the older kids and adults really enjoyed seeing them. We drove at a slow pace, not even keeping it in gear, but I think we all had a good time and it looks like the crowd enjoyed it too.
