Modern astrological techniques deepen your awareness of self, your emotions, and your personality through an objective viewpoint that promotes psychological understanding and growth. Your childhood perceptions of your parents' behavior influenced you deeply, so your feelings about your parents form the foundation of your behavior today. References to your parents in these interpretations should not be perceived as blame, nor are you at fault. Your behavior is based on your experiences, nothing more, nothing less.
These reports focus on the circumstances you meet in your life, seeing them as experiences leading toward a deeper self-awareness and a greater maturity. These goals cannot be achieved until the lessons that preoccupy your time and attention are understood and resolved. Positive qualities are always present, providing needed help and pointing towards resolution. Our intention is not to flatter though, so if you're looking for compliments you can find them in astrological books, magazines and newspapers available in most stores. We try to present a side of the Zodiac that you don't often read about.
Once your horoscope or natal chart is calculated, we then identify the major themes in your chart. We consider the planets, the signs they are in, the houses they occupy, and the relationships they form with each other. A brief explanation of these things follows.
Generally speaking, the three most important points in your horoscope are the Sun, the Moon, and the Ascendant (Rising Sign). These three signs represent a Trinity of influences that describe you more accurately than just your Sun Sign alone, although not nearly as complete as a full chart interpretation. Mercury, Venus and Mars round out the individual you, representing personal behaviours shared by all. Jupiter and Saturn mark the social motivations that influence and shape your personality, while Uranus, Neptune and Pluto speak to the deeper, transformational energies that affect whole generations, but can also have a profound influence on your individual behavior, especially if they are located in sensitive positions.
A more in-depth story of the planets can be found here.
The Zodiac is made up of twelve signs, which most people are familiar with. However, there is a lot of confusion as to what these signs really are in relation to the astronomical constellations. The 12 constellations, Aries through Pisces, today share only their name with the 12 astrological signs of the Tropical Zodiac. In the beginnings of astrology the ecliptic (the narrow band of sky that the planets appear to move through) was divided into twelve equal sections which roughly corresponded with the 12 astronomical constellations. All these years later the two systems no longer correspond, but no matter. Astrology is not a study of the stars per se, but rather a study of the planets and how they relate to human affairs.
Rather than give you philosophical
interpretations of the signs on this page, I've decided to provide you with links to abbreviated versions of my interpretation of the Sun in each of the signs. This will give you some idea of the nature of the sign and will give you a sampling of my written interpretative style.
Aspects are the two-dimensional geometrical relationships between the planets. These aspects describe how well or how not-so-well each planet blends with the others, and so pictures the complementary talents in your life as well as the conflicting energies that sometimes bedevil you.
