"Please remember the following interpretations each represent only isolated points in an astrological chart! For accuracy please consider all the planets, their signs, aspects and house positions. Thank you!"

Sun

The Sun describes your identity and shows what and how you think of yourself, although the complete individuality that you identify "I" with is better described by the chart-as-a-whole. The Sun Sign represents the foundation for your personality and gives you the particular characteristics and behaviour traits that you need most to meet the challenges in your life. This is not to say that these characteristics are always visible. Sometimes the Sun Sign is overwhelmed and obscured by stronger, more active points in your horoscope - which is why some people feel little kinship with their Sun Sign as described in astrological books or columns.

Moon

Moon

The Moon Sign reflects your emotional feelings and moods, and describes the type of behavior that you are most comfortable with expressing. Here is the way you respond instinctively, without thinking. It is the childlike way you would like to act, before your inhibitions and maturity kick in and tell you otherwise. So it reveals the shadow within you, uncovering the feelings, behavior and attitudes that you project onto others. The Moon Sign exposes how you think others feel and behave, and so shows how you subjectively interpret your everyday world. This point in your chart can also point the way towards finding an inner peace.

Ascendant (Rising Sign)

The Ascendant symbolizes your personality mask and shows how you meet new situations in the world around you. The sign in this position best describes the behaviour you show others, which either supports and complements the real you or presents a conflicting picture that hides your inner self. Oftentimes, this sign is what you try to be or what you hope to become.

Mercury

Mercury

Mercury is the planet that speaks about your intellect, and so governs your knowledge and learning ability, your mental state, your ideas and perceptions, verbal skills and expression, memories, thoughts, and intelligence. Mercury reveals the state of your conscious mind - what and how you think, what's on your mind, what you're curious about.

For example, Mercury in Taurus.

"Material concerns dominate and shape your thinking and ideas. You see things in financial terms and judge your environment according to practical criteria. You accept nothing that does not offer concrete value, innately sensing the value or uselessness of any given situation. As a result, you have strong common sense and are a natural manager of resources. You understand how to get the best from any situation. You are not one who thinks quickly or reacts impulsively, yet you always are able to take constructive advantage of the opportunities you meet. You believe in firm foundations and doing your homework, and so are always in the right place at the right time. You are opinionated, for your attitudes are born of time and valuable experience. You form your viewpoints thoughtfully and hold on to them with an almost perverse obstinacy. If the practical value of a new attitude is demonstrated to you, then and only then will you change your mind. Your communication with others is generally productive, because of a pleasant and comfortable verbal expression. You know how to be tactful and charming, and are very complimentary to others. As a result, people enjoy talking with you, for you always make them feel good."

Venus

Venus

Venus graces us with insights into your social relationships and activities. Venus does not influence your role in the social environment - that comes later with Jupiter and Saturn - but does describe how you interact with other people. And so Venus tells us of your love affairs, romances, and serious relationships, such as marriage. There are clues not only as to the nature of these relationships, but also indications as to what you expect from and how you approach these relationships. Venus also paints a picture of your sexual receptivity, revealing your romantic and sensual nature. (The sexual picture is completed by Mars, who displays your sexual expression, and by the Second House/Eighth House axis in your natal birthchart). Venus also reveals your artistic abilities, your creativity and your talents.

This is Venus in Scorpio.

"Proud of yourself, you cherish your relationships, enjoying their sensual aspects and passionately expressing your sexual desires. You are not very objective - you see things emotionally and you take things personally. You can be very suspicious and can become obsessive with the people you are involved with. But you give your all when involved with people and you expect just as much from them. You don't hold back. As a result, you can be jealous and manipulative if you feel you aren't getting your share of attention. And you want it all. You demand total involvement from your partners and would rather end an affair than accept it halfway. It takes a strong partner to handle you because you are so demanding and overwhelming. As a result, there is often a fine line between love and hate, between affection and manipulation. You want guarantees in your relationships, not wanting to leave anything to chance. If your desires meet with interference or frustration once too often, you cross the line from love to hate or indifference, and you never, never look back. Affection turns into bitterness and your resentment can be a frightening thing to behold. Those close to you would do well to remember this."

Mars

Mars is how you assert yourself. This is your personal drive, your aggressiveness, your angers, your sexuality, your physical activity. Mars is how you take action - how you act upon the motivations as represented by the other planets. And so here we can see the nature of your accomplishments (along with Saturn, who rules your professional accomplishments), your competitive nature and your passions. Mars influences strong emotions, and so tells us about your temper, your angers and hostility. This is your ego unchecked and capacity for violence.

Mars in Leo. Right here, right now.

Mars

"A strong self-confidence fuels your personal initiative and artistic creativity. Sometimes, such a strong, fiery energy is generally idealistic in nature, but not necessarily persistent. However, in your case this is not true. You have a strong determination and stubbornness that motivate you to follow through on your initiative. Along with being very creative then, you are also quite productive. You have a strong belief in yourself that you show off by always being in the center of any activity. You are proud of your abilities and this comes through in an air of confidence. You want recognition, but you must not automatically expect admiration from others. There's always the danger that you can too easily become arrogant and demanding."

Jupiter

Jupiter

Jupiter shows where you move out into the social world, where you begin to expand yourself by relating to others in a social role. So, here is where we find your goals and ideals, and how you reach out to achieve them. Jupiter represents optimism, positive thinking, vision, generosity toward others. Jupiter speaks of higher learning, law, the future, luck and opportunity, and philosophy. Jupiter shows where you are most confident in yourself, the most open part of your personality. Jupiter is also your sense of humor, your most optimistic view of the future, where you are the most prosperous.

Take a look at Jupiter in Virgo.

"Work is very important to you, because it brings you a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. You very much want to help others, which influences your choice of jobs. You are very generous with the help you provide others, but you can easily go overboard in offering your time and energy to others. Sometimes it seems as if you have no time for yourself. You must not give too much of yourself, because others easily take advantage of your generosity. You must also avoid getting trapped in a labyrinth of detail. You can't cover all the bases all the time, even if you think you can! If you get overwhelmed, you lose your sense of direction and lose sight of your goals. You then end up helping no one. You strongly believe in organization and practicality, which you apply to your attitudes and opinions. If your beliefs show no practical value to you, you find some that can."

Saturn

Saturn

Saturn represents the rules we all have to live by, and so describes the hard experience, the lessons, the discipline, and the obstacles in your life, and how they affect you. Saturn represents your fears, and so reveals where you tend to be cautious and conservative. Saturn keeps you on the straight and narrow, and even though you may feel restricted, and even though you may resent the circumstances Saturn presents you with, in the long run Saturn works for your own good. Where Saturn operates is where you are at your most traditional. Saturn keeps you focused on your priorities and shows where you will eventually find social fulfillment through your career and profession.

Saturn in Cancer...

"You are deeply insecure inside and so are very possessive about the feelings and emotions of those close to you. Emotional security is of paramount importance to you, yet paradoxically you fear intimate emotional involvement. You avoid such involvement because you are afraid of emotional abandonment. To avoid emotional entanglement, you project images of emotional insensitivity, such as inhibition, aloofness, and arrogance. You reject others before you yourself are rejected, and appear cold and indifferent to others, which only makes your emotional isolation worse. When you recognize your emotional defensiveness and learn to rise above it, then you can begin to open up. Then you can share your deeply hidden feelings with others and allow yourself the emotional acceptance you so desperately need and crave."

Uranus

Uranus

Uranus represents breakthroughs - you've outgrown something and now it's time to move on. This doesn't always happen so easily, though. You might want to hang on to something long after it's lost any usefulness to you. Uranus comes along and decides it's time for a change. If you resist, then Uranus creates circumstances that force you to move on, to break free, to find wider open spaces where you can begin to grow again. And so, the area of Uranus is where you are most progressive, forward-thinking, looking for tomorrow. You blaze new trails here. This is also where you are most exciting - a rebellious threat to the status quo.

Look! Here's Uranus in Sagittarius!

"You have unusual attitudes and viewpoints, and your personal standards can be quite unique. Other people do not always understand this and try to change the way you think and believe. As a result, you experience many sudden and impulsive changes in your life and lifestyle. You adapt very well to these changes, because you do not become emotionally involved. Rather, you see them as exciting adventures that bring new ideas and new ways of doing things. You are curious by nature and your experiences serve to stimulate that curiosity. You are also restless, so if your life remains stable for very long, you get quite fidgety. Unusual ideas attract you, as do different ways of thinking, and your friendships reflect this. As a result, you must exercise some patience and understanding (as well as some discriminating wisdom) with your choice of friends. As you mature into an adult you display an intelligent interest in and appreciation for different cultures and foreign thought."

Neptune

Neptune

Neptune comes from the deep shadows to represent your subconscious and all things spiritual, otherworldly, and mystical. Neptune is an area of your chart that you can't quite get a firm grip on, representing those things that you don't quite understand. So Neptune is your unconscious, full of compassion, idealism, mystery and fantasy. There are dangers here as well, for these are the subconscious motivations that interfere with your efforts and trip you up. Frustration, disappointments and self-delusions are found here, but so are inspirations, ecstasy and imagination. Neptune also shows where you are inspired, where magic comes from the other side to touch your life.

Abracadabra! Here's Neptune in Aries...

"You are interested in exploring distant horizons in spiritual and philosophical thought. You are especially open to new ideas, attitudes and values that you and your society have not yet been exposed to. As a result, you are future-oriented and progressive in your thinking, and some may see you as a radical. You take much pride in your ability to unearth and bring to light new ways of thinking and living."

Pluto

Pluto

And finally Pluto. Pluto is primal energy and represents those parts of your life that are buried the deepest. There is much of the unconscious that characterizes Pluto for Pluto reaches deep within you to stir up those experiences that bring transformation and regeneration. Wherever Pluto touches in your chart is changed forever. Pluto represents the extremes in your chart, and so brings obsession, domination, karmic passions and powerful sexualities.

What can be said about Pluto in Libra?

"You are involved personally in the generational struggle to identify new ideas of relationship. You are driven continually to reinvent your relationships, which affects your life deeply. The form of your relationships will be unusual. Not just different, but truly unusual. You struggle for transformed models of constructive relationships on all levels."
