Andromeda Galaxy - M31. Andromeda is the closest galaxy outside of our own
Milkyway Galaxy. These to photos are actually the same photograph
processed with different settings. These were taken by me on October 7,
2005. These are 45 second exposures without the aid of a light pollution
filter which is why the look so washed out. I hope to replicate these
photographs at a nice dark site someday where Andromeda can shine in it's full
glory

Andromeda is nearly as large as a full moon in our sky and is the only galaxy
that can be seen with the naked eye in areas with dark skies.
