HAMPTON RIDE

 

This ride will take us through the oldest town founded (in 1610) by the English still in existence in the United States. Today's ride will be about 15 miles, and will start out in the Old Towne section. We'll ride through the Downtown area, Hampton University, the Veterans Administration hospital grounds, Fort Monroe, and on to Buckroe Beach. 

DIRECTIONS:

FROM SOUTHSIDE: I-64 through Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Take the 2nd exit at 

SETTLERS LANDING / WOODLAND ROAD (Hampton University). At the exit, turn 

LEFT - Follow Settlers Landing Road over the Hampton Creek Bridge towards downtown Hampton.  Turn

RIGHT on EATON STREET (first light - at bottom of bridge), then 

LEFT on SYMS STREET (in front of City Hall)

Park in the parking lot closest to Eaton St.  

FROM PENINSULA / WILLIAMSBURG:

I-64 to SETTLERS LANDING / WOODLAND ROAD (Hampton University). At the exit, turn 

RIGHT and follow above directions.
