Off Road Ride
Harwood Mill is located adjacent to Newport News / Williamsburg International Airport, and the property straddles both Newport News and York County. There are about 5 miles of single track trails which are comprised of 3 loops and interconnected by dirt (and some sand and gravel) fire roads. This trail provides a great introduction to single track trail riding; it is relatively flat, with a few moderate ups-and-downs.
Distance is approximately 5 miles.
DIRECTIONS:
I-64 to Jefferson Ave (AIRPORT) exit.
Follow Jefferson Ave. for 2 miles and turn
RIGHT on DENBIGH BLVD.
Follow Denbigh Blvd. for about 7/8 mile and
Turn RIGHT on OLD DENBIGH BLVD.
Follow for about 1 1/2 mile to the parking lot on the RIGHT (just before the reservoir) for the park.
The entrance to the bike trail is located about 600 feet back and across the road from the parking lot.
