NEWPORT NEWS - RIVER RIDE
This ride on Bicycle Route #1 is a favorite for cyclists from the Peninsula cycling clubs. We're guaranteed to see other cyclists on the route while we are exploring some of the scenic residential areas of Newport News. Our trip will take us alongside the Mariners Museum Park, through the historic Hilton area, and across the Lions Bridge with a sweeping view of the James River.
DIRECTIONS:
NORTH AND SOUTH: I-64 to OYSTER POINT ROAD / VICTORY BLVD exit. Take the OYSTER POINT Road exit towards Newport News. Follow for approx. 2 miles, and turn
LEFT on WARWICK BLVD. Follow for approx. 1 mile and turn
RIGHT on MAXWELL. Look for entrance on
RIGHT for YATES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
Park in parking lot.
