PEDAL THE PARKWAY

May is Bicycling Month, and there's no better way to begin the season than the annual Pedal the Parkway ride between Williamsburg and Jamestown. The Colonial National Historical Parkway runs between Yorktown and Jamestown, right through Colonial Williamsburg. REALLY, RIGHT THROUGH WILLIAMSBURG! A tunnel runs directly underneath the Historical area. The road runs alongside the York river for several miles, then passes through the Colonial National Historical Park on its way to / through Williamsburg, then weaves along the James River on its final leg towards Jamestown.

On this day each May, the Parkway is closed to vehicles from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM and is open to ALL CYCLISTS!  Hundreds of bicyclists turn out for this momentous occasion.

We will meet at the entrance to the Parkway at 9:00 AM. A sign-in tent will be set up at the start of the parkway, and we can all meet in the general area of the tent.
