In addition, we've taken the time to develop a detailed overview of high school swim including the championship meets. This should inspire all our swimmers to achieve their best year ever. To find out how to make the biggest meets of the year and other distinctions that can be achieved, visit "About High School Swim" and "Making the Biggest Meets of the Year." We are also developing "About High School Dive" to give our divers the same advantage. This Web site is meant to be current and interactive. For example, we'll post new team records just as soon as they're set. If there's something you think should be added or a correction that should be made, please contact either me at tracey.blaine@fcps.edu or our Webmaster. And please feel free to submit your favorite Robinson swim and dive photos during the season to our webmaster to be posted in the photo gallery. I encourage you to explore the entire Web site for starters, then check back frequently for updates. I look forward to working with all of you this high school swim and dive season. We have a great team and should have another wonderful year! Go Rams! Coach Tracey Blaine P.S. Please continue to read below. We need your help in two very important areas. Thanks! Join the Boosters – to Raise $1,000 for the TeamNo doubt you’ve heard of the 80/20 rule. Here’s the 80/500 rule. If 80 percent of a team joins the Rams Athletic Booster the team gets a check for $500. Since the girls and boys count as two separate teams, we can raise $1,000 for Robinson Swim & Dive when 80 percent of our parents join. This money is used to pay for the weekly team meals, awards, and other team expenses. Please join the Boosters. The minimum donation required is $25. In addition to the direct contribution to the team, the Boosters provide funding for transportation, lodging, and food for teams traveling outside the region to State championships. The Boosters paid for the expenses of our team’s 18 participates in the 2002-2003 State Championship in Virginia Beach – one more reason to thank and support the Boosters. They have also agreed to pay for a perpetual plaque for our All American swimmers For a membership form and mailing address click here. Help Needed from Parents For parents, the best seats in the house are on deck. And high school swim meets, like all other swim meets, are volunteer intensive. We need timers, marshals, stroke and turn judges, and table workers. To fill all the positions required for timers, parents who have not already volunteered for another position have been assigned to timer duty. In addition parents will be assigned a shift at the Robinson Oasis snack bar to meet the team’s requirement with the Boosters. If you cannot work an assigned shift, you will need to find another team parent to swap with you.
