[THE BOT FAQ: What Is A Bot?]

[THE TUTORIAL: Pathnoding for the Unreal Engine Bots]
*

I love BOTS and they are about the only reason I continue playing DOOM I & II, Quake, Quake II or Unreal. In fact, BOTS (and a few other MODificationS) are the only reason that those games are still on my hard drive! (Yes, I know that Internet and LAN deathmatch is more fun, but not everyone has a great connection to the Internet or constant access to a LAN. So deathmatching Bots is the next best thing.) I decided then, to put together a RESOURCE PAGE about DOOM I & II, Quake, Quake II, Unreal, Half-Life, CounterStrike and other deathmatch Bots and Bot MODS. And, now with Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament: 2003/2004, Bots have come into their own!

SPECIAL REPORT:

RANDAR’S BOT PAGE IS EVENTUALLY GOING BE REPLACED WITH RANDAR’S TECH PAGE.

A hint of the up and coming site can be found by going to the Tech Page link in the menu to the left. For now, Randar’s Bot Page will continue to be showcased on this web site in one way or another. Randar’s has been around since January of 1998. The Bot Page will be kept around for historical and archive purposes. There is simply nothing else like it on the Internet. While I continue to get a good number of hits on this site, my interests lie elsewhere. I will not be adding to the Bot Page in any major way and will only occasionally update its links. Too many sites that go dormant are basically worthless because all of the links sooner or later go dead. I don’t want that to happen here, but, alas, I am afraid that I can no longer chase down each and every dying link. So, like most things in life, sooner or later this site too will become “worthless.” Thanks to all of the Bot lovers everywhere for all of the support and kindness over the years. It’s been fun!
