1966 500 Turbo

Most of the work on this clean 500 coupe was completed before it came into the Kalp fold. A clean Corvair 500 Coupe body was mated to a warmed up Corvair Turbo engine and four speed. The interior was upgraded to Monza trim and racing seats added.

The "Heart" of transfusion

The engine is based on a factory replacement block (no date or engine code). The Weber 45 has been converted to progressive action and combined with some Turbo mods the engine puts out 15 psi in all four grears. Soon the engine will have a Safeguard from Ray Sedman and a water injection system to help the engine live. As much fun as the 15 psi boost is, the car will also get a wastegate soon. Blown (destroyed) engines are not fun.
