How to install a sissy bar bag on a Vulcan 750
As a co-worker was getting off my bike after giving him a ride into work, he
decided that the document holder behind the seat really didn't look all that good
and decided to remove it with his foot, oops. Here is a simple, cheap, and quick
fix for that type of problem. I bought the bag at a bike rally up at New River, AZ
called the New River Beach Party.
My First "Basket Case"
At some point and time I want to build a motorcycle from the frame up. Small problem,
I can't build jack diddly and my mechanical skills are minimal. To remidy this,
I picked up this mini-bike at a swap meet for $100. At the time, all I
knew was that the engine ran. Come to find out, it does, except that it is the wrong
motor for this frame. I was told of that by a guy that runs a mini-bike shop here
in Phoenix. Not to fear, my x-wife calls up a friend of hers that works on motorcycles.
He will gladly take on the task of getting the motor mounted in the frame.
Christmas 2002
Was a very good year for my bike. Since she was so good all year, she got a new
Mustang Seat, (wide studded), and a pair of saddle bags.
On New Years Day I took a ride down around Florence, AZ for the day and ended up
having to repair the wire connection to the Regulator/Rectifier, AND replace a
junction box that got fried in the process.
RegR/R Repair and Replacement
I have sold my beloved 'Daddy's Little Girl, the 750, and have replaced her with
a 2002, 1500 Vulcan Mean Streak. My Lil Girl was developing some serious medical
problems, bad oil leak, and the top end sounded like it was ready to explode.
Me not wanting to try and fix her, I decided to trade in and up. Boy did I go up.
