In this photo, the bridges and the road have been widened, the wooden planks removed, the ornamental portions of the bridges replaced, and short guardrails installed on the approaches.
The impact to the surrounding trees and wetlands remains unclear, but some removal of trees is certain.
The Abbott Run Bridge, #460 is the larger of the two bridges and
it spans Abbott Run River. Other than the visible concrete slab,
changes are less apparent in the side view.
The Mill Trench Bridge, #457, spans a smaller canal, or "raceway".
