Greetings from Pat Blair, Regent:
Pat Blair, Regent

The Rancho Buena Vista Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized on May 31, 2003.  The National Society officially approved the charter of the chapter in Vista, California, on June 16, 2003.  Individual Chapters of the DAR are required to choose a name that relates to historic events, geographic sites, or names of prominent early area pioneers.

We have chosen to honor the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, which was built in the 1840s, and have taken the name Rancho Buena Vista.  As a result, we have a close relationship with the Adobe as we visit, have meetings there, and join in activities, which support the Adobe.

Two on-going major projects have been decorating a room of the Adobe for the Christmas holidays and identifying and labeling plants with metal markers on the grounds of the Adobe.
