Bartender is a blend of the finest East and West German Working lines and makes a find addition to the GSD Vom Insel Kennel.
This strikingly beautiful pup caused quite a stir when I brought her to the GSDCA nationals. Many offered to take her home with them.
She is both a “red sable”
and a “black sable” due to the richness of her tan (these pictures do not do it
justice) and her black.
Very nice structure. Exquisite head, nice top line and
angulation. Great pivots on her front and rear, smooth floating trot.
Her rear is very strong and
flexible. She stretches it like is
seldom seen a dog do and she often stands on just her hind legs.
Why the name Bartender? Many reasons actually.
B-litter
A bartender takes your
orders, serves you, listens to your woes, etc
But when the going gets
tough, the bartender pulls the shotgun out from under the bar and saves the
day.
Bar = to divert the flow,
good name for a herding dog
Tender – well the GSD was
developed to tend sheep.
I tend to give my dogs sci
fi names and there are many bartenders in sci fi.
