UNIT GENERAL INFORMATION

DUES

Dues are the sole responsibility of each Noble.  Statements are not provided to solicit membership renewals.  In accordance with Midian Riders By-Laws, Unit Membership Dues ($25) are to be paid to the Unit Treasurer by the first of each year.  The January business meeting of each year is the cutoff date for annual dues payment.  Memberships not renewed by the cutoff date are in arrears and members forfeit parade and voting privileges.  Memberships terminated requires the prompt return of all Unit property.  If a departing Noble fails to return any Unit property (i.e. Parade Flag) he will be billed for replacement cost.

INSURANCE

The Midian Shrine required minimum motorcycle insurance requirements are $100,000/$300,000/$50,000 for each motorcycle used for parading.  Proof of current insurance must be submitted to the Midian Shrine office prior to parading each year.  It is suggested that each Noble have his insurance agent forward proof of coverage to the Midian Shrine office each year when insurance is renewed.  An option to the above coverage is to carry a $500,000 or $1,000,000 Umbrella Policy.  Compliance with this policy is mandatory and the sole responsibility of each Noble or he is not elgible to parade.  It is incumbent upon the Unit Commander to assure each Noble has current insurance prior to parading with the Midian Shrine.
