LEE’S SURRENDER
Emily’s Coverlet
3/00

Emily wanted a lavender coverlet that would match the violets in her
curtains and wallpaper.
Lee’s Surrender, provides the traditional Overshot Bow Tie motif, it
might also be seen as a floral violet.
The wonderful lacy effect of this pattern seems appropriate for a little
girl’s room.
The pattern was downloaded from http://server16.hypermart.net/danuweaver/LeesSurrender.jpg
This is a 4 shaft pattern, I used 6 shafts as I tipped the draft and
placed the pattern thread in the warp added tabby to both warp and weft
and wove the weft in white Graylock wool worsted 3/12. The pattern thread
is Purple Ash Softball cotton 2/2. The tabby in the warp is 16/2 unmercerized
cotton. The sett is 20 e.p.i..
